Visual Studies | Admission Requirements

II. Admission Requirements:

- Application (nonrefundable $60 application fee required)
- Personal statement
- A one- to two-page essay must accompany the application. Your essay should address the major influences on your decision to pursue art, architecture, design, or writing. It should also address how you see yourself contributing to the CCA community, specifically with respect to the college's values, summarized below;
CCA understands the import role of artists, designers, architects, and writes in solving social,
cultural, environmental, and economic problems. The educational experience we provide supports
the following values:
- Cultivating intellectual curiosity, risk taking, collaboration, innovation, compassion, and integrity
- Fostering social justice and community engagement
- Promoting diversity on our campus
- Two letters of recommendation
- Official transcripts from your high school or college
- Proof of English-Language Proficiency
- TOEFL: a minimum score of 79 on the iBT or 550 on the PBT
- IELTS: 6.5 or higher
2. Portfolio requirements:
- Submit a writing portfolio (5 to 10 pages)
- Applicants to the Visual Studies Program are encouraged to submit an example of a written history assignment.
- Students who have visual work are encouraged to submit examples of artwork along with their written portfolio
III. Tuition: $18,480 per term + $1,540 per unit over 18 |
