Art Therapy | Admission Requirements

III. Admission Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in visual arts or psychology, or an equivalent level of training in a relevant medical, social or human sciences field.
- Relevant work experience in a rehabilitative setting in the form of paid or unpaid/voluntary work (e.g. telephone counselling, social work or working with children, youth or the elderly).
- Demonstrable ability to discuss and reflect on one's creative process.
- Demonstrable maturity and a willingness to undergo weekly personal therapy for the duration of the programme.
- A satisfactory score in written and spoken English OR a minimum of IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 600
- Portfolio: At least 7-10 pieces of original 2-D or 3-D work (actual or documented) that demonstrate your creative practice .
- Three references: one personal, one professional, and one academic.
- An interview with the programme leader which includes participating in a brief art therapy experiential workshop, all applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Additional coursework may be required before acceptance into the programme based on applicant's qualifications.

- Statement of Purpose: A 500-word statement of your reasons for pursuing Master's studies, your suitability and expected benefits from the programme.
